Herb Walks, Foraging and immersive plant experiences

Where better to find out about medicinal plants, wild flowers and trees, than in the natural environment that they live in? Getting closer to wild nature, seeing it in it’s natural habitat, feeling leaves, smelling the aromas and in some cases tasting and listening to them brings an incredibly valuable learning experience that’s unparalleled.

A multi-sensory, immersive herb walk or tree walk makes words leap off the pages of plant identification books, and brings whole new dimensions to your future walks. Coupled with story, history, folklore and sharing our own individual experiences of the plants and trees we encounter, these walks are always a pleasure to run, whether in our cities or countryside.

With over a decade of experience in re-connecting people with wild plant life and trees through herb walks and outdoor nature connection experiences, there has never been a better time to re-connect or become more deeply connected with the natural world that we are a part of.

I’m always open to suggestions for new locations to run walks, so if you’d like one near to you, please feel welcome to contact me. I’m always keen to help different localities discover more about what nature surrounds them.

I also welcome enquiries for walks as part of corporate wellbeing days, local government initiatives and events, charities seeking activities to fit in with different funding streams and wider health programmes. Well-versed in writing risk assessments, and being fully insured, I am able to flex to differing requirements.

Herb Walks

I run my own series of herb walks (or wildflower wanders) across the East Midlands, which are open to the public for all to book on. These run from late April to early September, when there’s plenty of interesting things to stop and be wowed by. I also try to ensure that some walks are suitable for wheelchair access.

New walk dates are published here as dates and bookings become available, and they’re listed further down the page.

Please check back here for further details, or join my mailing list to receive advance notification and priority booking details

**PLEASE NOTE – 2026 dates are a little later being published than usual, due to a busy Spring in clinic. There will be more dates appearing here very soon! Thanks for your patience. Waddington and Welbourn walks are both open for bookings

“Been on a herb walk with Hannah and enjoyed it tremendously. She has an enormous knowledge about plants and their processing and use…. Would highly recommend, surely also for personal advice. ”
